Mr. Cy turns 5!!

Spiderman is all the rage :) I loved this cake! I made the spiderwebs by melting white chocolate and piping them onto a wax-paper-covered cookie sheet. A few minutes in the freezer and they were hard enough to peel off the paper and stick to the cake. I added the web from his hand right before bringing the cake to the party. I had a few brake before I made one thick enough to hold up. I would have liked it to be a bit thinner but oh well! It's chocolate and it was yummy! :) xoxo

Amelia's 3rd Birthday - Rainbow theme!

My baby turned 3 last summer and we had the biggest party to date! It will help to note that my husbands birthday is 8 days after hers and that's why we have such a large gathering. :)

It took me an extremely long time to make this cake because I made it rainbow on the inside. At least 3 hours just on the baking part and due to that I didn't have much energy for the decorating bit but I gave it a shot! We had 50+ guests and a live band so I had a million other things to do :) I used the same castle set that I bought for Helen's second birthday - pictures in the 2011 October archive. Cheers!
